Yeah, such an oxymoron..... I don't have beliefs. Beliefs require faith. Knowledge requires evidence. I have knowledge. as I prefer evidence over superstition.

Why can those pesky religious society be quiet about it and stop trying to input their believes to everyone and roll with what is going on in the world right know.

Talk about rolling.

The religious want to roll all over the people of this country. Take over and throw common sense out the window. I would not be surprised to see freedom of thought threatened.

I don't get that bit of flak as much as I used to; it appears that people have become somewhat more comfortable with the idea. Which, when you think about it, isn't surprising. Some philosopher once described the species as "rationis capax" -- capable of being rational. I think that is apt.

They dont have religious beliefs, they have an asbence of them. If they dont like freedom of religion, maybe they should simply move to china or cuba where communism assumes and feeds off atheism. However, you may have to watch your Christian friends being dragged off in the middle of the night and put in prisons.

And no, I've not heard that one before. It's very conceited and inaccurate though, since for the most part society is moral, not religious.

No, in fact I've never heard anyone say that until now. Mostly they want to actively convert them, not just have them shut up.
