When we go to heaven do we forget everything Earthly?

I have heard we forget all our past experience but I want to make sure I didnt misinterpret what my priest was saying.

I don't know either but, this is what the bible says.

Isaiah 65 v17 KJV
For,behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things have passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelation 21:4-5

If we remembered everything as it was here on earth there would still be sadness and pain. We would know those loved ones that didn't make it to heaven. It sounds as if, all that is wiped away and we start new.

If you have enough money (and I’m talking a lot) you can get a special condo in an area near where god lives. If you can get in there, there are benefits that only money can buy;

you won’t have to drag around a harp (they’re really big and weighty); you won’t have to wear the halo (most of them do not fit anyway) and you won’t have to sing Hosannas to god all day (SHE doesn’t like a lot of noise).

The Baptists won’t be bothering you because St Peter has strict instructions that no matter how much money they have, they don’t get a condo in the “special place”.

Oh! I forgot to tell you where that special place is… Hawaii, of course.

The priest may have had something or someone in his mouth, which is why you didn't hear him correctly...we do not forget our past experience when in Heaven - otherwise how would we be able to meet Aunt Tilly or our other relatives who have died before us???

And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.

My take on it is we have to give it up before we leave. Lose your life so you may gain your Life. "You" must die to be reborn. Jesus overcame the world! What do you think this means? He overcame all the earthly attachments and became attached to His Father's Will. Give up the concepts of self so you may know the Self of Christ.

I don't believe we forget, but we don't worry or concern ourselves with it any longer. I believe the old ego disappears, which is often the source of our petty differences, hurts, and worries.
