nearly all questions are hate directed at some group or the other ,i would have assummed that posting a question in spirituality and religion would have been a pool for expanding our general understanding of different religions and theorising about asspects of spirituality but instead its a slaging match for intolerent people . people that like to debase others religions are just extemists and the reason for so much hatred in this world. i just hope these intolerant people arent parents too.

just live and let live is all im asking for everyone has a different path or religion to there connection with the devine ,just to accept that we are all different and have different ways is a start but i personally beleive the power of thought is the biggest power in this world and you get what you give out so sending hate out to anyone or any group will only get it returned to you and i choose not to hate anyone as theres enough of that in this world

I must say that i am surprised that you are 'shocked' and by saying shocked I am not saying that the low talk is right.
My reason for saying this is that religion and people beliefs have literally caused wars, strife, caused nations to fight against nations, split up families, neighbourhoods, produced extremists and many other stuff that is just not pleasant.
So my friend whatever people believe and hold dear to heart is what they are most passionate about and in some respect even willing to die for.

Tolerance is a two way street. The religious and non-religious should be more tolerant of each other, I agree.
However, as a non-believer (atheist, whatever) I have to say that the most intolerant, bigotted people I have had the misfortune to meet, were in fact religious people.
A lot of these people are following rules from ancient books written to control the masses (in my opinion). They come from a time where apparently it was acceptable to stone, rape, and abuse women, murder and torture those who didn't believe the same as the religion of the time, religions stealing from the weak and poor, abusing children, the list goes on.
I think as a decent human being I have the right to debase these religious groups (or cults) that think it is ok to follow these evil, hateful teachings. It annoys me how religions think that they deserve respect for some reason. For thousands of years, the cults have had free reign on the world and look what a state it is getting into. I look forward to the day when they get rid of these horrid teachings.

I hate to say this to you, but a lot of what you say is superficial nonsense.
I don't hate anyone either, but I do hate some of the ridiculous nonsense offered on this site. People have a right to come here and pose their question or express their views, but if they do and I think it nonsense I will probably say so. Sometimes I try to be reasonable, sometimes I say or imply that they are idiots if the idea really is too stupid for words. In return, some of those people say what they think of me.
You think thought is the biggest power in the world. The problem is that some people here aren't thinking. They post either what some idiot has told them or some drivel of their own creation. This should not go unchallenged lest other people take it as wisdom. Crooked thinking really is a danger to society.
I will not always tolerate that, and neither should you.
If I disagree with you I am not hating you, but I may be hating the idea that you present. If you or other people here do not want to be challenged, then take it to a site or meeting where all people think the same way.
Challenging nonsense is a right and proper thing to do.

Once upon a time, long long ago, it was. But then the Fundamentalist Empire decided to make it part of their Theocratic Dominion.
The atheists bravely fought back.
Now however the atheists have taken it over as a secular outpost on the edge of reality.
If you ask honest questions most of the people here recognize them and honestly answer. You will get some from nuts and crazed crack pots but mostly you will get honest answers.
You might not like the questions the atheists might give to you but if they are asked nice it is surprising how much some of them know about religion.
I am sure a few of them are ex-priests or otherwise trained in religion. Two of them definitely are and have published serious papers on religious studies.

I understand what you assert, yet regrettably Yahoo is an American run organisation and little question has to answer to the extra conservative element interior the U. S.. you're somewhat the main suitable option relating to how gays are dealt with right here as antagonistic to Christians, as many circumstances, Christians have reported the main outrageous issues or maybe inspired killing gays in some circumstances with no longer a peep from Yahoo, yet enable a gay get up against them and all of unexpected the "standards" are enforced. unhappy to declare, Yahoo does have a somewhat selective view of what a violation is reckoning on who writes what.

Yea, I can see how you feel about that. Most people who identify with a religion are hateful by nature. Not all but most think they have the only way to salvation . Although they may not sit around hating each other they do have lack of respect for them and many wars were started over religious reasons. I'm glad to be informed that non believers are also a source of hatred in the world. Thanks for enlightening us.

Well, there are a lot of people in the world that are extremely intolerant of any religious beliefs other than their own. So it makes sense that if you have a website that allows a variety of people to post things about religion, you are going to get a lot of intolerant messages. This website exists in the real world and is accessible to computers outside of ivory towers.
...and yes, most of them are probably parents.

I like that. Breath in love, breath out hate. Breath in hate, breath out hate. It's a virus, fight it with love. Forgive them as they know not what they do. Descriptive words instead of judgmental ones remove emotion, access truth. Actually it's worse some other places. You love your enemies and hate the sadness they have and hope they will find the truth as we will all be happier if they do. You don't kill the patient, but cure the disease. They live in difficult world, where everything is difficult. We live in easy world, where everything is easy. They are welcome in easy world, where everything is easy. Leave difficult world and come join us in easy world, where everything is easy. We have compassion for the emotionally or spiritually ill. Compassion is love here in easy world.

If only we lived in a world that was tolerant of
everyone, but we don't. Why do you call the
people who answer questions on here, debasing
idiots. You come on this by choice. As a christian myself, I do not take the comments
made by people personally, they have their opinion, I have mine. You say breathe in love,
breathe out hate, that is a quote from the shalom prayer. So please don't call people
names, practise what you preach.
