We were traveling over for one of my son's games, and afterwards we were on our way to a restaurant for a quick dinner before heading back home . On the way to the restaurant we talked about that verse in the Bible that instructs us to be kind to all strangers because you never know when you might be entertaining angels. We agreed that we do believe in angels because God created them but that God is the one and only God, and that we pray to God, not to angels.
As we walked up to the door of the restaurant, there was a man sitting on the ground by the door. He was dressed in shredded, dirty clothes, and had matted hair and a beard. He smiled up at us, and we saw that he had missing teeth, but that his eyes seemed to be glowing a bright crystal blue. I got shivers up my spine. We walked past him to go inside. My son turned around to look at him, and he said, "Dad, can we buy him dinner? He looks so hungry!" I said ok. The restaurant was very busy, but we told the waitress to let him have a table by himself, and to let him order anything off of the menu he wanted, and to give me the bill. My son went out to get him, and brought him inside. The man had tears in his eyes. Then the restaurant manager went to him and roughly told him to get out! My son got in his face, and said that he was with us, and we are paying his bill! As we ate our dinner, we noticed that the man was thoroughly engrossed in savoring each and every bite of his dinner. He had a bowl of hot soup, a chicken and dumplings dinner, and a big piece of apple pie with ice cream on top for dessert! He must have drank 3 tall glasses of milk and 4 cups of hot coffee, too.
Others in there were staring at him, pointing and giving him dirty looks, but he never noticed! We finished at the same time, and I paid, and we all walked out together. He smiled and said thank-you so very much. We took ONE step towards our car, and turned around to wave goodbye, but he was gone. No where in sight could we find him in that great big parking lot with a big open field next to it! He just vanished into thin air! Hum, an old beggar, or an angel? Ever since then both my children have a soft spot in their hearts for people like that, and they always give them food when they can. I believe God sent an angel to prove His point to be kind to all strangers, because you never know when you might be entertaining angels!

i'm christian, therefore i believe in angels. they're not all pretty ladies with long blonde hair and flowing white robes though. the way some of God's messengers are described in the bible is downright ugly. i believe these spirits most often appear in human form, but unless they are sent by God with a message, or for protection, they're not the kind of spirit you would want around. there are two sides to every coin. angels/spirits are no different.
ps- they don't really need wings in order to fly- they're spirits. most of the time, when they are described as having wings in the bible, the wings are there to cover themselves. cherubim have six wings; seraphim have four. the ones you see in pictures are archangels. the way they are depicted is all up to the artist. just because they look that way in the picture doesn't mean that's the way they look according to the bible.

Yes, with the exception of the Heavenly Host of angels...there are specifically 4 named in the Bible...
Jud 1:9 When Michael the archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he durst not bring against him the judgment of railing speech, but said: The Lord command thee.
Luk 1:19 And the angel answering, said to him: I am Gabriel, who stand before God and am sent to speak to thee and to bring thee these good tidings.
Tob 3:25 And the holy angel of the Lord, Raphael was sent to heal them both, whose prayers at one time were rehearsed in the sight of the Lord.
Luk 11:18 "If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

Yes I believe in angels even though I never witnessed one for myself I just have faith that they exist. But my grandmother had told me a story that she actually saw one before and that it changed her beliefs and gave her a new light on life and the world as God's Creation. Angels are God's messengers and our protectors. Legions of Angels in Heaven, called Seraphim guard the throne of God and are always known to say "Holy,Holy,Holy is the Lord of Hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory" Isaiah 6:3

No, if they existed, their wings would have to be attached to the small of the back. That's the balance point of a human body. All birds are in perfect balance. Some by tretching out their necks, some fly with their neck in an S, in order to balance. Some tuck their feet under their body, some stretch them out behind. Again, for balance.
If angels existed, as those we see in pictures, they would be part human and part bird. In other words, freaks.

anything is possible to exist if the god wills. just because we don't see it doesn't mean they don't exist. i don't know if i believe in angels but i do believe that there is an invisible spirit guiding me when i need help, and that spirit is my brother.
i usually refer him as my guardian angel because people always say that those who pass away and go to heaven are angels. he was the best god-like person i knew so definitely he is in heaven therefore he is my angel, looking over me and guiding me through life.
