Jesus did not compromise God's Law and exercise tolerance in order to gain popularity amongst unbelievers. Speaking in truth offended many because they did not want to turn away from sin that broke God's Law. Jesus never was sent to abolish His Father's Law, He came to fulfill it. If we follow and obey Him, we will walk with Him in spirit and truth, even if this divides your own house and social circle.

So why are you worried about trying to put in most of your effort trying to maintain peace with friends (and family) and not investing enough time with your relationship with God?

Favor of God of course.......

My relationship with the Lord trumps all others.....including my wife's.

And she would say the same thing about me too.....

I care more about being able to live with myself without feelings of guilt or regret. I practice tolerance, and treat others in a manner I want to be treated. By doing that, I am investing in my relationship with Spirit.

Most of my friends and family members don't share the same views on religion/spirituality, but we show love and mutual respect for each other. I do not worry one bit or waste any effort on keeping the peace.

I believe it is possible and necessary to be able to balance all relationships one has in their life. That includes their relationship with G-d and everyone else. There has to be balance or there will be upset and it will disturb the equilibrium that is also known as peace. No relationship should take up more of your time or attention than any other, it is not healthy.

God is more important than anyone or anything. I love God more than my husband, and I'm sure my husband loves God more than me.

Favor of God? I don't know what you mean by that...

But I'd rather transcend to the next level, than stay down here having my ego fed by being 'popular'...

I've got to be honest here... I don't care what my peers think nor getting favored by god (there is none).

I will walk with Jesus. My family knows where I stand, and I am not too popular with them.

I'm starting to care more and more about what God thinks. Why fear he who can kill the body, which is temporary, when I should revere He who can kill the soul, which is eternal?
