I ran 6:24 and 5:38 yesterday. Should I keep them the same or make one easier than the other, any ideas?

You should run at your projected race pace. If you are racing 3 miles, then do 3x1 mile with a short recovery at what you think you should be averaging in the 3 mile race. There is a big difference between your 2 times. Is that because the first was too fast and you could not do the second, or was the second the fast time, which means you did not run the first one hard enough? You can mix up your intervals. Do a day of 800 repeats at a little faster than race pace getting a 1 minute recovery. You can change the work outs by controlling the recovery times, either harder with less time, or easier with more time.

You should do cut downs. Like 6:30 on your first mile, then 6:15 on the next, then 6:00 on the last. Or make the times slower. They should gradually get faster, not have a big gap between the times. FRom those times you gave, you went too slow on the first one. So try to go a little faster on the first, so you will get a better workout, and get faster. Good luck! =)

Take a day and run 10x100 on the track. Sprint the straights, recover on the turns.
