If you had to choose one reason and one reason only what is the deciding factor/main reason that makes you anti-illegal? Personally, this is a tough question for me to answer because there are so many reasons to dislike illegal immigration. I dislike the fact that these people demonstrate to the world that we have broken borders and as a consequence I believe that this is a serious terrorist threat to our nation.

For me it's about who shall have the right to set our immigration policy, the citizens of these country who have to pay the cost of running and securing our country, or the illegals no matter how hard working or well intended. I say that we as the owners of this country have the right.

As you say, there are many reasons. Some people don't like immigrant illegals just because what they hear from family, friends, some of them because of personal experiences, some of them because they really think that they are against the law, etc. When you see the answers you can see how the people express in their words their real feelings.
Illegal will be a bad term because implies criminals and people who have broke the law even if they are citizens they are illegals

Initially I was conflicted on this question however the reason that illegal immigrants are bad is because they use alot of tax funded resources and don't give ANYTHING back.

Here in Los Angeles Mexicans generally have several children starting at a very young age. The medical care is usually paid for in full by the state. Now I've worked and paid taxes in America all of my life yet my medical expenses are paid for by me. How is that fair.

Unfortunatly hispanic immigrants take alot and don't give back. Also, drive through a hispanic area. It's usually dirty and crime ridden.

The main reason for me to work toward deporting most of the illegal aliens in our country is to preserve the USA as it is. Many of these aliens are commies, radicals, La Reconquistadors, and others who don't want to assimilate to our culture. We just cannot assimilate the huge numbers of aliens that are in our country now, and remain the great country that we are. We need to slow down all forms of immigration, deport most of the illegals, and assimilate the tens of millions of recent immigrants into our culture.

Secondly, the cost to taxpayers for the illegals is just too high!

NUMBERS

We are already over 300 million.

We are allowing more immigration then ever in our history.

We are growing faster then ever before in our history.

We only have so much open space.

We only have so many natural resources.

We only have a limited amount of tax money for social services and illegals are a NET negative to our economy.

I don't want to see this country when its population is at 500+ million. At that point I might as well live in China, India or a similar country, which would be pure torture for me.

Because i dont like the fact that illegals come here and expect to get everything handed to them like if they are better than everyone else. America has its own problems with our own citizens that we cant affords to take care of so wh should we be forced to take care of the illegals problems. Americans should come first.

I live in Arizona. I watched as an illegal and his friends ran over my dog. I got the license plate number and it was a stolen car. There was nothing anyone could do. I had a friend who's car got rammed in a parking lot. The girl who did it was driving without a license or insurance and didn't speak English. The police can do nothing.

Because illegals can afford to be careless, American CITIZENS are the victims in our own land. Problem is, it never ends. Not until Bush's dog gets run over by an illegal.
Then we'll see action allright!

I totally agree with you. If they would close the borders and kick out a couple of million people, who are here illegally. Other countries keep people out - and I don't understand why we let so many in, when we are so afraid of terrorists. Just don't get it - do you?

If I had to choose only one reason, it would be the same as yours. If illegals can cross our borders with ease, so can people who wish to do us harm. The government can't weed out the truly bad guys without weeding out the peaceful bad guys as well.

But also like you, I have a number of other reasons for being anti-illegal as well.

Wow, the pressure of one reason and one only!! So many to choose from. It's their sense of entitlement. They take because they can and they take all that they can. Oh, and the smirk they wear while doing it.
