Can any other Christian cite a reference for this? A whole new take on Genesis that would seem like the god in the book punished a snake for something a power within it, not the snake itself, was responsible for....
Or is this just an example of the Bible of I made it up?
SERIOUSLY, does anyone else's church teach this? Has anyone EVER heard this before?

i have heard many claim in here that the snake was possessed by satan. great question, if the snake was possessed, why was it punished?
could it be that it's just a made up story trying to teach a lesson???? lol

They all seem to just make it up as they go along. It's frightening how they can rationalize anything in the bible, and if you're lucky you can find 2 people who rationalize to the same conclusion.
