You have to say it the same way you wrote it here. There's no special way to say "I don't wish to play this sport anymore." You just have to say it.

If you have a legitimate reason to fear their reaction, discuss it with someone who knows you and your parents. Be ready for the reaction you are afraid they might have. Just act calm, collected, and sure of yourself. If they get onto you, don't jump into being defensive. Tell them you can understand some of why they might be frustrated, and that your intent is not to frustrate them, but that it doesn't change the fact that you don't plan to continue playing football.

Just talk to them and let them know that it's not your passion anymore and that wrestling is what your more interested in doing, hopefully they will understand where your coming from but if not then you just have to make that decision to do what you feel is right. Good Luck.

Just tell them you want to do it. If you dad is that concerned about it, ask him to make financial considerations for you so you can maybe quit your job until the end of wrestling season. Make sure you tell your coach about your decision too, don't just quit going to practice.

You need to tell them that your objective isnt to play football anymore. they could be mad but as parents they should respect your wishes. Many people dont know wht they want to do, but since you do you should continue to persue and i bet they will eventually appreciate it.
