Im going to Australia this December to visit some friends. I dont have a passport. What ways can I go about getting one? Do I have enough time to get on? Do I have to have a passport?

Yes you need a passport. And a visa. The passport office has been backlogged lately. To get the process started either go to the post office or the passport service online.

Yes, you'll need a passport. Australia has very strict customs controls too. Don't bring any plants, egg products, meat or anything that might have a bug - it will totally destroy our farms and upset the export business we have. Be considerate - Australia is an isolated country without many diseases, let's keep it that way.

Everyone entering or leaving Australia requires a passport.

There is currently a 12 week backlog on US passport applications, so I would be getting my app in pretty quickly

Yes - to get into Australia - you NEED A PASSPORT FROM YOUR COUNTRY so we will know who you are and what country you are a citizen of.

Enought time to get one? That really is up to your country's turnover time for passport. You need to enquire your Department of Immigration.

you MUST have a passport and a visitor visa
passport has to be arranged from what ever country you are a citizen of,people from some countries can get an electronic visa on line
