Good snack choice! Even better if you eat the peanut butter on celery, though (roughage!)

Peanut Butter is an excellent source of protein, so there is no need to give it up completely. Just try to combine your peanut butter with other healthy options. This way you only need to use 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter. You'll get the great peanut butter flavor that you love, but without all of the fat. Some good combos include: * PB and whole grain english muffin. Great way to add fiber to your diet. * PB and apples * PB and celery * PB and pretzel sticks. You can dip the pretzels in the peanut butter. A little PB will go a long way with this snack. Hope these ideas help.

As I was unfamiliar with Oroweat bread, I searched it and went to the site.

Is the bread whole grain? Is the peanut butter natural without corn syrup and/or high fructose corn syrup? If it's not whole grain, and filled with corn syrup and/or high fructose corn syrup, I don't eat it.

However, I eat peanut butter (natural; we buy the Skippy Natural as it does have sugar in it and my husband doesn't like the type with the oil; I prefer the latter, but it's one of those things that isn't worth arguing over and isn't worth buying two of) and whole wheat bread, together and separate as snacks, meals, etc. When I do peanut butter and jelly, I use all natural fruit spread, the kind without corn syrup and/or high fructose corn syrup and without the artificial sweetners, just fruit and frit pectin.

Also, what else are you eating? Natural peanut butter is good fat, but if you're eating other fats, the fake yucky stuff, then you should eliminate the latter.

I hope this helps.
