We are all "evolved" from mammals which first appeared along with dinosaurs in the Triassic period hundreds of millions of years ago. Human and cat ancestors existed side by side for millions of years in the form of a very small mammal the size of a mouse or a rat. The dinosaurs became extinct and the little mammals survived.
Different life forms don't "evolve" from one another. Because of environment issues and genetic mutations different species break off from a common ancestor and develop their own unique characteristics.
Some of the forms which speciate are sucessful, some are not. Cats, dogs, humans are highly successful species. The definition of a "species" is a group of individuals who are able to mate and produce viable offspring.

Because cats evolved from something rather than a monkey.......why all these questions?? Cats evolved from other forms of cats like the saber tooth tiger etc.
If we evolved from monkeys why are their different races of people?

There are still cats because our monkey ancestors lacked the balls to whipe the inferior cat race out. I propose we finish what our predecessors should have started! DOWN WITH CATS!

To say humans came from monkeys is a gross distortion of the theory of evolution.
But have you ever heard of people who are said to have cat-like reflexes? ;-)
