Chi Straightener won't turn on?

There's one on ebay that won' turn on that's at $40 with 14 bids so there must be a fix.

Mine was lightly dropped this morning, on carpet, and will not turn on (even after hitting the reset switch). How do I fix it?

heating element open.

could be a simple fix if u are handy.
first u have to take it apart and look.
find the open in the heater and see if it is fixable.

if it was hot when it was dropped - that'll do it.
