My gf and I live far from eachother. It takes about 2 hrs or sometimes 3 to get to her house depending on the train. I do love and would do anything to see her but I cant keep with it all the time. Today is practically the hottest day of the year, people are telling me its hot so watch out for the subways and TV says there is a heat advisory plus I didnt feel well yesterday and I am still filling it today. 95% of the time I go to her house even when its hot, cold, and when I was sick. She says she is having a bad day and she wants me to come by. I dont want to travel bc its hot and I am not feeling well. Is it wrong for me not to go? Should I get a free pass on not going bc I go alot? Does this show maybe I am not a man of my word or make her think I dont love her. Or is she being mean and selfish? Shouldnt she care about my heatlh first? I really do lover her she is my world and I would do anything for her, but I always put my heatlh 1st bc w/o good health it she may never see me

Also she really doesnt come to my house bc she doesnt have a car. She is looking for one and she will get lost on the trains and her mom doesnt really want her on the trains. I have a car my parents lets me use but I cant rely on it for the drive. I dont have a job to get a new car. I am looking for a job though. Had an interview last week. Does this make me a mean person bc I didnt go?

thats very true what u said last.... she needs to understand that u dont feel good... u can always call her.... but if she becomes mad at u cuz u didnt go over.. explain it to her calmly... the weather, u not feeling well, ect. tell her u would do anything for her and u truely love her but u just didnt feel well.

just explain to her you are very sick with the heat and that you can't come today you go there nearly every day and yes sheis being selffish but maybe she doesn not realize how bad you feel. that is where communication is working well and that is what you do if you realy care about one another.

Go see her...you might even feel better after seeing her..she will love you more and respect your relationship more...she loves you, you do too...you are not too sick to go....i am sure you do not want to hurt her...she needs you show her you are there for her no matter what...

sounds to me like you just need to tell he look i would love top come out to see u but i cant today. if she feels the same way for you that u do for her she will understand.

if you are always there for her she should understand! and if your loved ones are ever sick, i know i wouldn't expect anything from them, so she should give you a break!
also, you are not a bad boyfriend, just human! and suprise, suprise, we get sick!
so explain to her you are not feeling well, and i'm sure she'll understand!
just take care of yourself!

i dont think it makes you look bad as a boyfriend...she needs to grow up a lil and realize if your not feeling good then there is always tomorrow...if she truly cares...she'll understand...if not she'll get over it!!!

i think she is being sellfish and she should come and c u occasionally. REMEMBER IT TAKES TO TO MAKE A RELATIONSHIP WORK AND IF SHES NOT IN IT TNEN MAYBE NOT THE GIRL FOR U....
