The ones who rant against abortion are the same ones who say Heaven is where it's at.

Hi,
Some say that a fetus is a life from day of conception. I personally believe it is only a valid life when i can survive outside the womb.

I wouln't pay too much attention to the ones that rant about it. I sometimes think some people aren't happy unless they have a pointless cause to fight!! Religion is full of contradictions!

Good question. I've always wondered that about those who think suicide is bad, also.

FYI for some of the other answerers above: I remember when abortions were illegal. And the women died from 'backstreet abortions'. They were that desperate to not be pregnant.

Or think of it in math terms. Do you want 2 people - 1 kid = 1 live woman from a legal abortion? Or 2 people -2 people = 0 live people from an illegal abortion?

The reason I complain is that God tells us not to commit murder. Is abortion murder though? Let's think about it.

If a person kills a baby just after being delivered, we call it murder and the person that killed it goes to jail. Everyone is upset.

If a person kills a baby just before being delivered we call it abortion and the person that killed it is paid money. Some are upset and some are OK with it.

The only difference that I can tell is the location of the baby and the amount of development.

Well, maybe it would be OK if the baby was less developed. Where should we draw the line? 1 day before the due date? 1 week before the due date? 1 month before the due date? The only difference is still the location of the baby and how much he/she is developed.

Some people are born with a limb that did not develop at all. Perhaps it's OK to kill them? After all, they are not fully developed yet either.

Some people think it's OK to kill the baby if it cannot survive outside of the womb on it's own. Some people cannot survive unless they have an oxygen tank, or a pace maker. Is it OK to kill them? After all, they cannot survive outside of the womb by themselves either.

How about we don't kill the baby and play it safe. I personally think that's best.

I need to also say that I don't hate people that have been involved in abortions. We are all sinners and we have all broken the commands of God. God loves us and will forgive us if we ask Him to. He really will!

WHAT??? Don't you mean," why aren't we all commiting suicide if we all should be in heavan?" Or maybe you mean, "why do we bother putting murderers in prison when we should be thanking them?" Or maybe you mean, "why do we bother fighting a war against terrorists when they have every right to send us to heavan?"

We are all alive because we're survivors. Us abortion objectors think that unborn babies have the same right to life that the rest of us have! The baby has only one person to protect it and that person is the one taking it's life by surrendering it to the knife. So many sterile women are waiting for a baby to love but they are just out of luck as available babies are being slaughtered. And fathers aren't able to raise their kids because the mother objects to letting their child live!

Why don't more people care about that? PS rape is never the baby's fault!

Life is about giving your special gifts to the world. Death is a waste! Why don't we just make sure women get an IUD or surgery before having sex and there won't be as many problems with abortions, right?

To "Terry O-Catholic" -- THANKFULLY, you are very wrong! The most reliable polls (Gallup, Harris, etc.) have consistently shown for the last three decades that Americans are PRO-CHOICE by a ratio of 2-to-1.

And the number of people who actually SEEK to **force** full gestation of UNwanted pregnancies against girls and women against their will (which would be a very real, hateful, and mindless, 9-month-long form of RAPE) is very small. The mere 5% of Americans who are doltish and bigoted enough to be RRR Cultists -- the "Religious" Radical Right.

We will continue to ENSURE that American girls and women NEVER again will be subjected to the abuses and second-class-citizen status that subjugated them in the PRE-Roe vs.Wade Dark Ages. You can take THAT to the bank!!

Thats not the objective of life... the objective of life is to follow in Christs footsteps once saved to carry out the plan of God for your life. To choose his way over your own. Anyway I'm pro-choice.

I'm opposed to abortion on behalf of women. I know many women who are deeply hurt by past abortions, even though they it was their choice at that time in their lives. I feel than many women don't have a full understanding of the emotional consequences of abortion. Aborting a pregnancy doesn't mean the pregnancy never happened. There are permanent physical and emotional effects. Women should have more information about the consequences before making such a life altering decision.

Abortion deprives the aborted baby of a human life, so even if it does go to heaven it will never have experienced what it means to be human. It will never ride a bicycle, play a sport, read a book, laugh with its friends and family. It will also miss all of the suffering involved in life, but even the suffering teaches us about what real beauty and happiness is all about. Nobody has the right to deprive a human soul of its human life.

Every life has a great purpose and with that comes a gift given by your Creator. Your purpose is to find what your talent is and pursue it and that is your gift given back to your Creator.
