My dad found out that i IM with ppl that i don't know....?

he is angry at me and he is problaby gonna put in a filter in my computer and not let me IM until im in college. Wat should i do?

You need to talk to your dad. I HOPE you are not giving out any personal information. It also depends what were "chatting" about. There are alot of perverts in the world today. You may think you are taling to a young man when infact it is a 30 year old child molester trying to get you to meet. Talk with your dad and explain why you talk to people and see what he says but you need be very very carefull on the internet.

If you'd been up front about your activities in the first place, you could have possibly prevented this. You father is just trying to keep you safe. You should be happy that he cares enough to do this. As long as your chatting was just talking and was not getting creepy or did not involve giving too much personal information he might have been okay with it.

But, judging by your latest name in Yahoo answers, I think you're going past what he thinks is appropriate. I wish you luck, and I hope you and your father can come to an understanding.

seriously, talking with people you don't know isn't a bad thing, there are some really cool random people out there, i mean there is no harm unless you meet them in person. but until he does something i'm not sure i can help you. i mean if you know exatcly what he does to your computer then post a question on how to get around it in the computers/internet section.
