This world will not come to a end until the church (the body of Christ) is caught off the earth. 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The prophecy of 7 years of tribulation on the earth. Matthew 24: 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: The Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth to rule and reign for 1000 years. Revelation 19: 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
If the church was caught off the the earth today the world that we live on would still be here for 1007 years. Then Judgment Day and the the Lord will make a new heaven and a new earth. Revelation 20: 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 21: 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

The end of the world will come some Day but probably not in your lifetime-It wont be a bad thing when it happens because it will wipe the nasty and greedy people of this world and I hope they go to hell, there is no place in heaven for these people- if only they new it.

you know, although its scary to think about, we have to face the fact that the end of this system of things is near. the predictions in the bible are coming true. in the book of matthew, the apostles asked Jesus wat would be the signs of the last days, and Jesus said, Hunger, Wars, Natural Disasters, and since the coming of Jesus Christ in 1914, these have been abundant. if you ask any philosopher or history major about the occurences Before this year, they're very rare. since this year we've had the world wars, the major natural disasters, Hurricane Katrina being a big example of that. Because the ruler of this system of things is not God, its Satan, and God has to put an end to the madness here on earth. however, God gives us the opportunity to save ourselves. but we have to act now, because we dont know when Armaggedon is to hit, which is the war between God and Satan. but it is definitely close.

Yes, I do. Though no man may know the day or the hour, when one compares Revelations prophetic writings to the nightly news on CNN and etc., it's easy to see we're in the last days. Given the rate of progression in prophecy coming to pass, I'd say the Rapture could occur within the next 3-8 years.

No but I think that the end of the human race is near. The earth will go on quite nicely without us.

Well certainly all the signs given in Mt. have happened, and now we have global warming and a war that is about to end.

1 Thess 5 2-3 For you yourselves know quite well that Jehovah's day is coming exactrly as a thief in the night. Whenever it is that they are saying; "Peace and security!" then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them...

Well at least there's no eternal torment in a hell, God is just going to clean house.

I'm 45, so I fgure the end is about 30 years away. The end is coming relatively soon for everyone. Who is ready, and who is not?
Its a fruitless quest to figure it out. The only thing that matters is if you are ready to make an account for your deeds on earth when you stand before God

Hey, I got 3 thumbs up. Im shocked.

It's been near for a long time. It's been near longer than any of us can remember.

Jesus said it was so near that some of the people listening to him would still be alive.

And long before him it was near.

How long will it be near? A long long time.

The world doesn't end - phases of the world will end, but not the entire world. Granted, the earth will one day be consumed by an exploding sun, but from that, new stars will be born and new planet... maybe new life... etc.
