the Sabbath Day is to be worshipped on Saturday, then what Scriptural authority do Christians use as excuse for worshipping on Sunday? Jesus did not change it!! The apostles did not change it!! What authority Sunday worship?

It was changed for practical reasons, not theological. The Early Christians who'd been Jews continued to observe the traditional Dusk-to-Dusk Sabbath period. Eventually, they were persecuted to the point that they decided to meet on Sundays.

The sabbath day indeed WAS a commanded day of rest (not worship) for the children of Israel.

Only Israel, and foreigners who underwent circumcision, were a party to the old covenant where this law/command is found.

Christians were never a party to this covenant.

In Christianity, it is the spirit of the law that is followed, and not the letter. Read Romans 7.

Christians are free to worship on any day they so desire. Sunday became a day of communal worship.

For you to say "Christ didn't change it" is to argue from the wrong perspective.

Christ didn't say Gentiles didn't have to be circumcised.

You can't prove anything through a negative; which is what you are trying to do.

Worshiping on a Sunday, or any other day does not have to be according to anyone's authority. There is freedom in Christ. I guess you prefer bondage. (Gal. 4:21 - 5:1)

Hello.. :)

Jesus said:

Mark 2

The Disciples Pluck Grain on the Sabbath

23 ¶ And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was ahungered, he, and they that were with him?

26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abi'athar the high priest, and did eat the showbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him

27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

28 therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Don't get hung up on disputable matters. Pick a Sabbath Day and worship for heaven sake. God wants us to worship 24/7 for all that matters.

Jesus fulfilled it. The Sabbath represents God's kingdom which by faith we have now. I would invite you to study God's word concerning the Sabbath it is his day of rest it is the Millennial Kingdom, It represents our salvation the coming of the lord. Christians are not under any law but by faith changed and made new in agreement with God's righteousness. We do not worship God in traditions of law but in spirit and truth.

The commandment to keep the Sabbath holy is no where given in the new covenant (the New Testament). Christians worship on Sunday in commemoration of Jesus raising from the dead on Sunday. Our only hope from personal resurrection from the dead (life after death) is that Jesus rose from the dead first.

There is not a verse in the bible where Christ advocates the sabbath, in fact he preached against the legalism of it. Every day is sabbath, and sabbath was made for man, not man for sabbath. (Mark 2:27)
Christ did rise on Easter Sunday, not the Jewish sabbath.

Christians had to maintain continuity with the old Jewish traditions, but completely negate them to claim they had the "True" religion. Not an easy line to walk, and sometimes the Early Church mis-stepped. Like that whole anti-semitism thing they wrote into their Gospels after the fact...maybe not a good idea. But give em a break, they were only human.

Stripping bare all the arguments, it is the same logic Cain used in his fruit sacrifice. "God should really care what I give Him, as long as my heart is the right place." God is very specific, and asks for our obedience.

Christians make things up as they go along to suit their circumstances.
