Isn't that kind of a pointless question since the best anyone can do is speculate (even Atheists)?
No one knows. A lot of people THINK they know but there is no way to know for sure. Atheists do not think or claim to have the answer to this. They simply see no reason to believe in a god due to what they feel is a lack of evidence.

We don't know either, pretending we do wouldn't be of any help to us or to people who believe they do..
Haven't you noticed the similarities between real life for everyone now and Heaven and Hell? Or maybe you don't get out much.

You cease to exist. You won't be aware of it. It's like when you sleep but don't dream. Nothing.
And we can pretty close to knowing without doing it. Your consciousness is an extremely complicated series of chemical reactions. When you die, those reactions cease, as does your counciousness.

Well, hopefully we get buried or cremated, our bodies rot away.
Worst case, we come back as zombies for bbbbrrrrraaaaiiiiiinnnnssss...
Either way, we aren't in there anymore at all. It's just a hollow shell of decomposing material.

Your family pays a lot of money to keep your body in cryogenic stasis in hopes that you'll wake up in the year 3000 and make friends with a robot and a cyclops.

I do not know for sure. I don't know about you, but I have never been visited by friends or family who have died; to tell me about what happened after they died. So, that can only leave me with one conclusion, they are dead and that is it.

Don't know, but I don't believe that we end up either floating on clouds playing harps, or in the mother of all hot tubs.
