You can not convert a fluorescent fixture to incandescent (or visa versa). You will have to buy new fixtures. I would reccomend however that either you keep the fluorescents or buy new fluorescents. Flourescents use 75% LESS energy (for the same light output) vs. incandescents. They run cooler and last 8,000 to 30,000 (depending on the type) vs. 750-1,000 hours for incandescents.

They also come in a variety of colors, or shades of white, ranging from the typical incandescent color to daylight.

Yes. The only real difference between them (besides the energy saving characteristics and longevity) is that the fluorescent may not be dimmed normally. That is, do not put a fl. bulb into a lamp that is on an incandescent dimmer. Fluorescent require special (expensive) dimmers. This also applies to outdoor fixtures (designed for incandescents) that have a dimming feature that cuts in after a set time in the evening (for softer light when less likely;y to be needed).

You cannot convert, you need to change the fixture. Wiring will already be under the fixture. Painting to cover where the current fixture is will probably be necessary and filling in a couple fastener holes.

Go to Home Depot, buy an incandescent fixture and replace it.

I have not seen flourescent light bulb rated for fish tank that screw in regular incandescent bulb base. They make the flourescent light hoods which is what you should do. If you use one of the flourescent 15w replacements they sell for regular incandescents in the house you will also find the light level equal to about a 60watt light bult.

They should have the same wiring. You may have to paint the ceiling when you change it.
