I'm going over to my aunt's house for a gathering, but I heard she is making munsif. Munsif is I think goat or sheep, it's chewy and really gross. My friends r saying it is polite to eat until it's gone. What should I do?

Is this a mental health problem?

Please...don't eat it. You don't have to eat anything you don't want to.

I could not find a food called munsif. Munsif is the name of a newspaper in India, and also the name of a famous chef from India. His food is renowned around the world. He is in the same world famous class as Wolfgang Puck, the famous chef in Las Vegas.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the food. You could ask you Aunt for the recipe before the gathering, or ask if you can help prepare it when you get there. That way, you will know what is in it.

Tell her that you are allergic to it. It makes you break out in hives. Eat the side dishes but not the munsif.

Make a casserole, or a dish you like as a hostess gift. Bring it along. When she serves it along with the dish she is making that you dont care for - you can take a portion of both & eat a few bites of hers & some of yours. That way she wont feel bad & you will have at least eaten something you like too.

Also - I believe the dish is called Mutton - which is sheep.

Skip the meal before, so you are good and hungry. Bring a toothpick, because it's likely to get stuck between the teeth.

Call ahead and say you are now a vegetarian and be very polite and say how you appreciate that she is cooking all this food and that you will just eat the veggies and potatoes.
