But even IF homosexuality is unnatural, so what? Our clothes our unnatural - should we stop wearing them?
Homosexuality has a mostly biological origin, so if you believe in God then you must conclude that it is God's will for some people to be gay. But even if people are "choosing" homosexuality they must still be carrying out God's will. God is all-powerful and all-seeing so everything has been pre-decided.
Edit: Oh yeah, and humans ARE animals.

Do you really believe that the animals "know" they are acting in a homosexual manner?? An animal does not know right from wrong nor does an animal sin. Sin and "right and wrong" is something a human, with an advanced brain, is responsible for. For an animal, it is all instinct.
The actions of an animal in no way supports the same action for a human being. Some animals eat their young. I am sure that is a sin too, would you support that as a choice for humans too?
Homosexuality for humans is unnatural (for humans) and is a sin. When you choose homosexuality, you are choosing to sin.

As a non-religious person who is against homosexuality:
Many animals also kill the homosexuals amongst them. Are you saying that because an animal has done something it is right? I certainly don't want to kill homosexuals but if that's your view, that the animals have it down pat, then maybe we should?
Homosexuality (when not caused by cultural influence) is a genetic abnormality. I don't think it's immoral or sinful to be gay but it definitely isn't normal or healthy. That being said, anyone should be able to refuse treatment for anything related to their bodies and if they're happy being gay then what do I care?

I am not gay nor am I religious...
I do think that it is a natural behavior in all areas of biology. How can it not be? Because the bible says so? Abusrd!
At what point does anyone make a choice as to what and how they are attracted to something? I never did...i just knew one day how beautiful and attracted I was to, what I consider to be, beautiful women. Now, having said this, I do not mean that just because someone is attracted to something, then it is naturally ok and should be allowed. Animals, children, etc. are sicknesses and I believe should never be allowed in any way shape or form. If a human loves another human, regardles of race, creed, sex, beleifs. etc., then so be it. Be happy! Live the life that makes you happy and let others live theirs...

1) Love the sinner and not the sin!
If any Christian (a true one) tells you differently I would stay away from them. Christ came for the sinner (who He loves), it is the sinner whom He saves not the sin.
2) Sin: is a term used mainly in a religious context to describe an act that violates a moral rule, or the state of having committed such a violation-
Jesus died for US, not the animals. We were created in HIS image, not the animals. We are the ones accountable to HIM, not the animals. Animals will do what is in their nature or adapt to their environment.
Does any of this make it ok to be gay? That is a question between you and God. You are accountable for your actions, whether right or wrong. None of us will be standing next to you on judgment day so how can any of us tell you what your judgment will be?!
I hoped this helped...

Animals are not under the Law. They have no moral accountability, and they follow whatever their flesh drives them to do.
We are not animals. We were created in the image of God, and God laid out what He says is acceptable and unacceptable behavior.
When I was a child, I did NOT like when my parents told me I couldn't do this, or couldn't have that, etc.
Just because I didn't like what they told me didn't mean that I could get away with disobeying them. They wouldn't let me smoke cigarettes or drink booze, and I was already 13 or 14 at the time! At the time, my attitude was that we should do whatever we wanted if it made us feel good. And I got punished.
God told us what is best for us, and He means business. He didn't ask our opinion when He first created us, and His Laws are for our own best interest.
But just as I had to receive a punishment for disobeying my parents, there IS a punishment for disobeying God.
But because my parents were only in charge of our family, the penalties in our family were relatively small.
But because God is infinite and ultimate, and His Laws are ultimate (since He is ultimately responsible for the well being of the entire universe), so likewise His penalty or punishment is ultimate.
Oh, by the way, just because Mr. Henry Ford says you shouldn't put peanut butter in the gas tank of your car, does that mean that if you do your gas mileage will not go down just because you don't happen to believe him?
Ultimately, our crime against God is not homosexuality, or lying, etc, etc. We are rebelling against God's rightful authority and committing high treason against Him, putting ourselves on His throne (in our attitudes).
So, when the Bible says that we are not to commit homosexual acts, then if God does NOT judge, that makes Him unworthy to rule, so He WILL judge, and we can't point our fingers to the non-moral aspect of His creation as an excuse for our immoral behavior. That would be like if I had told my parents, "Yeah, but all my friends are doing it." I still get the punishment from my parents.

Animals can't sin. Animals don't fall under God's Law; just us humans. I have a German Shepherd (pure bred) and to him I am his God; his everything. I love that dog so much. I care for him everyday. He gets sick off and on, but I don't get rid of him; but I care for him and Love him everyday. In turn his very protective of my family and I. I don't live in a upscale community where we got security guards patrolling. But my Shepherd has a reputation of "don't go to that house unless you're invited".
We all know homosexuality is a sin and there is no if or buts about it. No excuses. Don't even go as low as using animals to make a excuse so that a man can lay with man and woman lay with woman. How ridiculous is that! For all my dog cares, I am his God!

The difference between a animal and a human is, that humans have common sense. Animals go on instinct that the other animal is just that, another animal.
I used to have a dog that used to hump air. I hope never to see a human do this.

There are animals that eat their afterbirth, kill their young, and fight to survive.
I am not a scientist, therefore I am not qualified to comment on the articles (either way).
If people are born homosexual, then there would not be any former homosexuals (and there are). So, does that mean that the person who formerly practiced homosexuality, renounced it, and lives a heterosexual life was never a homosexual? Or not?

The scientific data only proves that the desire for homosexual relationships can be biologically triggered.
Therefore, with some humans, there may be a biological trigger as well.
As for sin, well you have to consider what God asked us to do. In summary, He wants us to rise above our animal instincts and come to our full potential. Animals are just being animals. They are self-centered, doing whatever pleases them at the moment. Some have herding instincts or "clan" or "pack" instincts. They protect members of their group not out of love, but out of instinct.
Humans have wonderfully complex minds, designed in the image of God. With such brainpower, we are able to control our behavior to meet sets of standards and guidelines set before us. God gave us His standards and guidelines with the expectation that we obey them.
Those who choose to obey get a reward, those that choose otherwise get a punishment.
Both homosexual and heterosexual people must adhere to the same set of guidelines. One of those guidelines is not to misuse the gift of sexual relations outside of a covenant of marriage.
Sex to humans is special, and cements the bonds of love between the two participants. When this bonding process takes place outside of the covenant of marriage, all sorts of heartache happens. We have fatherless children, husbandless mothers, and couples pretending to be married who will break up at the drop of a hat instead of sticking it out and working through an issue. All happening right now before our very eyes because we humans do not obey the guidelines set by God.
So, sin is when we choose to disobey. God never told the animals to do anything, but He told US to follow his commands.
BTW: I said COMMANDS, not commandments. The "10 Commandments" were superceded by Jesus, and His commands are captured by the writers of the New Testament.
