as a christian and the wife pastor I, of course, think Christianity is the best HOWEVER.............. if you are a non-religious person searching for religion then I would suggest you learn about the different ones (Islam, Judaism etc...) not forgetting the different sub-sects of each religion and go from there.
Many people are of their religious beliefs because they were brought up that way. I know many Christians won't agree with me (heck, my husband probably wouldn't!) but I feel that we all worship the same God and what is a good fit for me might not necessarily be right for you. As long as a person is doing good (not harming others for example) and sincere in their beliefs then i feel that God will be happy with you.

Well, if you recognize that there is a God, your choices are one of the three monothestic religions.....Judiasm, Islam, or Christianity. Unless you are a Jew by birth, Judiasm is out. That leaves Christianity and Islam. A sincere comparison of the two would reveal that the authentic sources of Christianity have been lost, changed, and/or distorted by the hands of men. Islam is the only logical choice and you may be suprised to learn that it is not a NEW religion. It is in fact the continuation of Judiasm and Christianity. It is God's final revelation to mankind. There is much evidence of that in both the Torah and the Bible. Unfortuantely, the enemies of Islam have worked hard to confuse the facts and have succeeded in creating a very distorted image of what Islam really is. God/Allah, however, is more clever than they are and his revelation is available in its original form for the world to read and learn from. The choice is clear for anyone who is seeking the truth. May Allah guide you to a path that is straight.

While it is not necessary to follow a religion to have a belief in god(s), the best religion is the one that is right for you.

Do some research, visit different churches, temples, etc. Take your time, see what feels right. There's no hurry in reaching a decision, so investigate and see what fits.

None of them. Religion is just a word. It's the people in it. Be careful. The church has a totally different set of rules than God and will look to treat you any way they see fit if you do not do as you are told.
I believe in God and don't have a church and religion at all. I am content.

I'm a united apostolic Pentecostal and if i have a question about my religion i ask my pastor and he can show me in the bible where it says stuff i think you should believe in something where you can backup your beliefs with the bible because the bible is always right!!!
