Heather,
Giving equal attention is one of the worst things you can do. Your "pack" needs a defined structure (ie- everyone knows who's in charge, and what their place is). Equality confuses the heck out of them.
Top dog of course should be you. All good things come from Mommy. Teach them that it's ok for you to take their food away, but give it back after a few moments if they're calm, same with toys, etc. Only give affection when you're ready, not if they come up and nudge you, or try to make you.
Sounds like next in line is your Golden. She has to teach this pup now who's in charge because soon it will be too late. If you interfere too much, the pup will learn that she can get away with it, and will lead to bigger problems. Teeth will be shown to make a point, just make sure no serious biting, etc. Nips are part of how a puppy learns it's place in the pack from it's mother, siblings, etc.
And the Golden needs you to reaffirm that she hasn't been replaced in the pack as #2. Give her special time with you without pup interfering. If you stick to it, everyone should quickly get the picture and settle down. Good luck!

There is no quick fix for this. Make sure that the puppy doesn't take toys away from the Golden and make sure that you give your Golden just as much if not more attention as you used to. Let her know that she is number 1. I know from experience that introducing a female pup to an adult female is more difficult than any other match. I would say let the older dog assert dominance now because once the Great Dane grows up it will be too big for the Golden to say she's boss then. It's OK for teh Golden to assert dominance, just don't let there be any bloodshed. The puppy is usually the culprit in bothering the bigger dog alot so make sure she's not on top of the older dog all the time. Put the puppy in her crate a couple of times a day to give the older dog a break from the chaos. Don't let the crate be a punishment, just a getaway where she can nap. Maybe put a couple of special toys in there so that she knows she gets these toys only when she is playing in her crate.
Just keep being patient and it will get there. Make sure they are kept in separate rooms or one in a crate when you are not home. You wouldn't want any unpleasant surprises when you get home.

spend extra time with your older dog and let her know you still love her too. Play with them both together also, so she gets used to the idea and knows that the puppy is now part of the family, i just got a puppy too after my other dog has been king for three years, it might take a while but she'll come around as long as she feels like you are not replacing her or pushing her aside.

we got a new puppy a while ago, but ur dog is still jealous. bella (puppy) isnt even our dog, we r training her 2 b a guide dog, then we give her back after a year & a half. stormy (our pet dog) waz very unfriendly @ first, but now she's kinda getting used 2 it. just give them time. make sure not 2 ignore ur golden, so spend time with her alone.
now the dogs r just like sisters. they fight sometimes, but they luv eachother. stormy even protected bella when a dog attacked her yesterday, even though stormy is terrified of that dog.
ur dogs should learn 2 luv eachother 2 with time.
good luck!!!

let them be dogs.
The puppy will get it, and your dog will at one point bond with the puppy. Not a big deal.
my dog did that too... and it's much better now, but she is still jealous but does play with our new dog.

You just have to give it time they will get along eventually . Just give it time . although I must say you should have maybe gotten a male dog to be a companion . dogs of the opposite sexes seem to get along better when they are companion dogs or meant to be companion dogs . good luck and I hope I helped.

Give it time. Also give both dogs time, and reward them both when they play nicely together. When she grows and shows her teeth send her outside and she will learn.
