my boy friend has put me down to his family a lot. i dont understand why and i have talked to him about it. my concern is that ,even if we can fix our problems would he stay with me even if they dont like me. P.S. he is aware that they dont like me because of the things he said that were not true. are there to many cards stacked against me?

Yes I would. Of couse that is a problem he created. Sounds like you need to walk away from an unhealthy relationship though. A good man isn't going to put you down to anyone.

Yes. What my family thinks of the person I date is of zero importance. The real problem isn't his family but him. Their bad impression of you seems to have come directly from him.

he sounds like an @$$ hole you should find a new guy that doesn't care about what his family says i mean it's his life not his mother's she has no right to still make decisions for him he is an adult after all.
