last year my husband applied for a uk visa in Ankara Turkey, and he got turned down. So i had to go to court in Stretham england to appeal against the decision, i went on the 18th july. It seemed to go really well and im praying it will be a YES. The judge said in court i will have to wait no longer then 2weeks for the decision by post, she said no by law she has to let us no by then. We have now been waiting 3weeks well it will be 3weeks tomorrow. Has anyone else gone thro this and how long did they wait, im scared to complain incase they then say No! Me and my husband have been away from each other for a year and a half. I just cant stand the waiting. Should i ring up or what i really dont know what to do.

as to the answer that i met him on holiday, is not right! so you wont be winning jack! he has been living in the uk since he was 13years old. We have been together 4years, im not some big fat middled aged woman who go's on holiday to is fooled in thinking some young bloke loves her for her not for a visa, we also have a child together. And as for the comments of him not being welcome he has worked all this life paid taxes in our country, and has grown up her. Also for the comments about i should go live in his country, why on earth should i do that! im english i have lived here all my life ive worked all my life so have my parents and there parents. I have every right to stay in my country with my husband and child. We do have to many people coming in to our country, claiming our benifits what we have worked for, then half of them dont want to live by our laws or faiths. And most want to blow us up! but in our case this is not so, so really the comments what have been left our off key

phone them up and ask them if they have sent the letter to you.I would also like to say that on y/a that there are very few who will answer an immigration question without resorting to being racist and ignorant.I hope your appeal has gone in your favour and wish you all the best.waiting for the thumbs down on this one now from the anti immigration mob on here

Bear in mind that postal strikes have unfortunately led to a lot of delays. You could try phoning the court's contact number, I seem to remember that there's an 0845- number, you will need to quote the court reference number. The staff are surprisingly helpful. At the least they can tel you if the decision has been sent out yet.

I don't know about that the have to give a decision within two weeks - that sounds more like the deadline the applicant has to make an appeal in.

Hope you get a good answer in tomorrow's post, but if it's not good, don't despair, if you're prepared to fight long enough you can get it. Good luck!

UK visas are in a law of their own despite going to court.

Visas are a right not a privledge.

You can still be turned down.

The UK don't want Turkey in the EU.

Did you run out of space in the original post? Or just feel a need to justify your situation because you didn't get the answers you wanted?

If he's been in the UK since he was 13 LEGALLY he should have applied for naturalization. Lazy sod. That's what happens when you try to go around all that crap. Now he can pay like hell for that stuff.

Everyone get your violins out please.

well, there was some industrial action by the UK royal mail last week, so that may mean your letter was delayed. however, if you were told you would only have to wait 2 weeks to receive the decision, I would phone them up, and just say that you haven't got the decision yet, and would they be able to tell you over the phone/check the letter had been sent, or send you another one.

Why do you want to bring him to a country where he would be unwelcome? The simple solution to your marital problem would be for you to go there. ( I have a pound bet on with Ladbrookes that you met him whilst you were on a 2 week package holiday, am I going to collect ? )

if they say no i guess your option will be to move to his country. it wont hurt to phone them and ask how things are progressing will it?
