Here is what John Adams had to say:
A constitution founded on these principles introduces knowledge among the people, and inspires them with a conscious dignity becoming freemen; a general emulation takes place, which causes good humor, sociability, good manners, and good morals to be general. That elevation of sentiment inspired by such a government, makes the common people brave and enterprising. That ambition which is inspired by it makes them sober, industrious, and frugal.

John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776

I Pray Heaven to Bestow The Best of Blessing on THIS HOUSE, and on ALL that shall hereafter Inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof!

John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams, November 2, 1800..

I think the founding fathers had DIFFERENT things to say about marriage, family, and faith dending upon which founding father you are talking about, AND which stage of life they were in.

The Founding fathers were not some static unilateral body. They were individuals with very different ideas. What's more, they weren't static within themselves. They were human being with the same dignity and frailties that we all have. They changed their minds (or not) depending upon the experiences of the their lives, the times, and the circumstances in which they lived.

1) The Founding Fathers never put this down in the Constitution.

2) If the Founding Fathers told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it?

You can keep pushing your opinion that the US founding fathers wanted this country to be a christian nation, but in the end it's just your (deluded) opinion and it doesn't make it so. There is WAY TOO MUCH evidence pointing to the fact that the majority of these men were simply not theists and absolutely did not want the US to be a christian nation.

Uh huh.

I don't think John Adams mentioned God, Christianity, or Jesus anywhere in there.

He was a Deist like the rest of 'em.

Nice try, though. Run along.

You choose men you demonize today for being freethinkers, Freemasons, and deists.
You pick and choose quotes and forget the man.
Get over it. The puritans did not found the USA.
Freemasons, freethinkers, and Deists did.
