I just bought my second 25 dollar DVD player in 7 years. That's 50 dollars. My brother purchased a top of the line unit which at the time cost him 179 dollars. It lasted 3 years. He is now, and for the past 2 years, been using a 25 dollar unit that I bought him as a present.

Are you kidding me?? The cheap DVD players work the best!! It is because they dont have all that junk jammed into them that the really expensive ones have. I have bought 4 of them, and they all work magnificentally.

If you want a standard definition DVD player then a cheap one is fine, however if you want an up converting player then you have to spend $200.00 to get a decent picture.

SONY makes one that sell's for 60 bucks at Wal-Mart. I have three of them and have never had a problem with any one of them.
