Stick to you guns.......and be firm.
God will not be angry at you for defending the truth.
The thing to remember is this: Don't sink to their level. The devil loves it when we get angry and sin.

Anjel has answered you very well. I'd vote hers the best answer if this question were mine. I would just like to add: please don't get mad but at the same time, don't try to convince anybody about what you believe in. A man convinced against his will if of the same opinion still. So move on. There are so many children, especially here in India, I don't know about where you are, who are eager for the gospel. Go to the children, the orphans and homeless and tell them about our loving Saviour and if they reject you, once again move on. I am a child evangelist and I know that kids are hungry for Christ. Visit the sick and lonely - they too will probably welcome your message. The field is white for harvest! But don't waste time. Judgement day is coming and we have no time to lose. Give your message and move on.

It doesn't matter wether your defending or fighting. What matters is that your giving people the message about god and the bible. It may not seem like anythings happening, but if you keep it up you may spark a few new believers which is what god wants.

I would say, choosing to be defensive is usually not helpful to your cause. I say, live your life and the way you live will be the most powerful thing you can do -- if your life is such that other people look at you and say, "I want to live like that." Then you won't have to fight or defend, people will walk toward you. That was Jesus' big trick. People wanted that sense of presence and peace and clarity that he had and they just walked toward him.

You are welcome to defend the faith here. But I don't think it will be of any value. I haven't found the people here open to real conversation. Your attempt to defend your faith will be met with derision and ridicule. The question is do you consider it worth the trouble? Minds can't be changed when they are closed. While the atheist like to attack the Christian as being "close minded". The truth is that a majority of them are also.

God is Spirit, and interior you is residing the Spirit of God. The Spirit is nearer to you than your physique or your strategies. The Spirit of God is residing in all it rather is. no longer something is larger for you ,than this Spirit reported as God. God is the eternal Manna from which love excels. it is your option to settle for or reject that that's residing interior. it rather is a deep and mysterious journey,so attempt to no longer hear to fools, who see no longer the sacredness of our Being in this international.

Yes it is absolutely right to defend your faith, but remember what Jesus also don't cast your pearls before swine and some of the people here are swine. And just enjoy bashing on Christians, yet on the other hand some Christians bash Back, which also isn't right, I am beginning to learn that where Jesus said turn the other cheek it is places like this that he meant.

Ask yourself this, does God need defending?
don't allow others to sway you off your path, that's what the devil wants you to do.
Jesus was prosecuted, beaten, betrayed and murdered because of non-believers, he never fought back. He just kept to the truth and told it with love.

There is nothing wrong with defending your religion, but only if you use love and tact. Jesus said that unbelievers persecuted him and will persecute you also. But you shouldn't get down on them on their beliefs, everyone has that right, and God will take it into his own hands. Just be kind and God will appreciate that

Argue all you want with us atheists. Be prepared for even deeper responses from us though. Many of us were raised religious and know the bible inside and out and know that it is a bunch of crap. I made the decision atheism is the truth by studying religions and seeing what they had to say. So if you go and throw a bible quote out there, be prepared for another bible quote in return that contradicts what you are trying to say. (The bible contradicts itself so much that it is hard to keep track of what it is trying to say).

It's my opinion that anyone who tells you "what God thinks" is lying.
Have you tried praying on this to make sure that you are acting out of a genuine desire to help others rather than defensive anger?
