The tenderness and discharge are normal. The site below should answer any other questions you might have.

I was diagnosed with IDC Breast cancer when I was 19 (I did not have any outward signs). You really need to go see your dr. Breast tenderness before your period is 100% normal. The discharge is not. To check for breast lumps (and remember, many breast are dense, meaning they are lumps, and over 98% of lumps are NON cancerous), you need to do a breast self exam (BSE). You know those hypnotizing twirls (like a circle going round and round getting smaller) imagine that is on your breasts. Start on the outside and go around the breast and each pass go in a little bit. Make sure you feel up into your armpits as these are your lymph nodes and cancer can be there too. No one on here can tell you for sure if you have cancer. The only way is for your dr to do tests (Mammograms, sonograms and potentially a biopsy). Good luck to you!

First, stop worrying, this is probably normal and not cancer.

Many women have lumpy breasts before their periods and many women produce milk without being pregnant or going through childbirth.

However, there is an uncommon form of breast cancer found in young women, that does display these symptoms, so get it checked.

While getting it checked, get your Dr to show you the correct method of examining your breasts. This is best done regularly AFTER your period.

Have it checked and if at all possible get them to anylize the discharge as well. Lumpy breasts are normal especially before a period, but get it checked by a Doc right away. You should be taught how to do a proper breast exam so you will learn the difference in the feeling of lumps. The discharge has me curious so please get looked at right away. And good luck, I hope your okay.

Normal for breast sensitivity around your period. THe chances of breast cancer in someone of your age are incredibly small, but if you're concerned then see a doctor. He or she can also show you how to do a breast self-examination, which you should do yourself about 5 days after your period ends.

I had discharge too and my doctor said that most of the cysts that cause it were not cancerous, but the discharge is a little abnormal, so go to your doctor or better, your gyno. He she may send you for an ultrasound (like I got) to see what (if anything) is causing it. I also had an MRI because I've had ovarian cancer at 35, but there was nothing. He said it most likely resolved itself.

So go to your doctor and find out what's up. You'll get a plan of action and less worry about the unknown. It might be nothing to worry about, but how will you know if you don't go?

Good Luck!

It's perfectly normal to have breast tenderness. The discharge can happen when you have a high level of oestrogen basicly you lactate. Periods tend to increase hormone inconsistancy so I don't think it is anything to worry about.

Most nipple discharge is not ominous. However, all nipple discharge should be evaluated by a physician.

Because it's milky, it's likely that your doctor will want to check your prolactin levels. This pituitary hormone stimulates lactation. It can be suppressed with medication, if necessary.

I"m more into the drumsticks but I'll take a thigh. I do use breasts for a lot of my cooking though. But Fried chicken...it has to be the legs.
