I made the mistake of not taking my 85lb lab to a patch of grass after he'd been at the groomer for a few hours, and during the 15 minute car trip home, he peed. A lot. For like 35 seconds or more. All over the back seat of my lease car.
I raced right home and tried to blot the excess up with paper towels, and then treated the area twice with a generous amount of Petzyme, and left the car doors open for 12 hours to air out, but it clearly didn't work. The smell is almost staggering when you open the car door. Is detailing the car my only option? Please help!

Look for a product called Urine-off. I bought it from my vet but it is available online. It is the only thing I've ever found that works - including all the different products in the pet store. It is the only thing I've found that gets the smell 100% out. We had a sofa in storage while we were remodeling and something peed on it. This product got the smell out (otherwise I'd have gotten rid of the sofa). I've been through two puppies and cat with this product and really like it.

I had a chi-wawa that loved to pee all over my house and I tried everything and nothing truly worked. Then I recently bought a puppy and wanted the puppy to come home to a house with no trace of past dog urine so I looked at pet smart and found this stuff called Natures miracle and it is exactly that!!! I sprayed it on generously and let dry and the smell was completely gone!!! I literally stuck my nose to the carpet and tried to find any Trace of pee smell and failed to find any....I was very pleased with this product and I hope you will be too.

just a small suggestion....you should drench the seat in this product. It might take a few hours to dry but that allows it to get as deep as your dogs urine went.

Use a solution that is vinegar based. I use 1/4 vinegar and 3/4 water. The vinegar takes away the ammonia smell. it might take two or three treatments.

a little bit of bleach in water w/ some laundry detergent. A LITTLE BIT OF BLEACH so that it doesn't stain the cloth, but enough to get the smell out.
