Regardless of where we put our will (which of course should be beneath and in agreement with the will of God) Gods will is supreme and all-powerful. There is nothing we can do to change the will of God, in fact our efforts are known to Him before we are even born! We are powerless and will-less compared to him.

Something Americans especially have a hard time understanding is our personal wants do not count for much. What does matter is God's view of things. Ideally, we adjust our thinking and personality to God's viewpoint.
We know only God can give life, not man. Our trust is in Him as our Creator.
