Actually it's fascinating because it calls into question the perceptions of other's and their self-cherishment over the concept of "boring". Boring, like everything else, arises due to causes and conditions and is changing and impermanent, so if one is "bored" they can fix it and develop an mind of equanimity that isn't bothered by their old perceptions of "boring".
