Once, and once only. The guy next to me became possessed and starting speaking in a voice that was clearly not his own. He started using filthy language (not like him at all) and saying the most awful things. Eventually, we had to get him to bed because his pulse and heart rate were going off the scale. We were really worried for him. When he came round, he had no awareness of what had happened.
Everyone then went to their respective rooms to sleep. I woke, suddenly and for no reason, and sensed something was in the room with me. I knew it was evil and I could smell the fear on me. And no, I had not been drinking or taking mind altering drugs. I was stone cold sober. The only thing I could think of to do was to pray - and I mean heartfelt prayer. I was really scared.
When we all met up for breakfast the next morning, the caretaker and his wife told us their dogs had been up in the early hours of the morning, barking and with their hackles up. They could find no evidence of any intruder or an attempted break in.
Moral of the story? Don't go anywhere near a Ouija board. They are EVIL and DANGEROUS.

They certainly can work, but generally they really aren't anything to play around with.
The spirits that tend to talk through ouija boards are not highly evolved souls - they are either earthbound human spirits (ghosts), or astral beings which can be tricksters at best and downright malevolent at worst.
The only time it would be "safe" to use one of these boards is in very protected sacred space - like a strong magickal circle. But once you set up great protection, you'll find that you get little to no responses from the board because you've screened out all the lower spirits that would usually talk through one with your circle!
The boards can invite unwelcome and unhealty presences into your atmosphere and personal energy and that is something that you certainly DON'T want! My mother and I have worked on ghost rescues and entity removals for years, and many times a unwanted entity first was "invited" into the home through a ouija or other similar device (amateur seances, etc). The users are then stuck with something unpleasant, that they themselves called up, but had no idea how to deal with.
Using a ouija board is basically like leaving your front door open in the middle of a really bad neighborhood with a sign out front that says, "Please come in and help yourself". You would never consider doing something like that on the physical plane, so why would you do that with the spiritual?
If you want to talk to spirits, the best way to go about it is by getting into a spiritual practice yourself, starting with basic meditation, visualization and concentration skills. This will help develop your intuitive faculties, which is what the higher beings and your Higher Self tend to communicate the most with you through anyway. You should also start by learning basic psychic hygiene and protection - creating sacred space, cleansing the area with herbs/incence/ritual, etc. Put a few months into dedicated practice of those things and you'll find yourself much more intouch with the types of beings that you WANT to be in touch with.

To answer your question and correct your spelling:
"Oui" pronounced "we" "Ja" German for "Yes" and we have a "Yes" "No" board named after the cards for answering, Yes and NO.`
And the only experience I`ve ever had is where someone was pushing the glass around the table to spell out certain things, something which he admitted to later.
However, I have heard of people being `taken over` by evil spirits when operating the Ouija board - christian devils I believe.

You spelled it right...it combines the German and French words for "Yes". I have used it in the past with no ill effects or incidences (meaning ones that were just too freaky) but have had a lot of success...Ive spoken to deceased relatives and friends..and to actually go into details would take too long..so yes, my opinion is it is real and the board does work...
It tends to work better if 2 people (of the opposite sex) sit in chairs opposite each other with the board on their laps between to light white candles...just visualize a white light of protection around you, and ask your question.

The Ouija board has nothing to do with anything in the world or beyond it. A piece of wood made out to be something else with Boogeyman tales to enhance its myth.
You will find more evil within the world itself than any piece of wood.
Did it when I was a child and it did nothing and then grew up to find out that it did what it exactly was meant to do - Nothing.

I've used one many times and I believe they work. I receive short answers (but more than yes or no) in response to my questions and they've been pretty accurate. I've always been told to never use one alone as it leaves a person psychically open to negative things. Of course this assumes you believe in the first place.

I got one when I was a child. Tried to make it work, got bored and turned it into a board for dart throwing. Maybe I pricked a devil or two.
Oh, and the spelling is OK.

You spelled it right. They don't "really" work. That is to say, they don't channel spirits. They are toys. It works on an ideo-motor response of the people who are touching the planchette. It only moves because of involuntary muscle movements of the participants.
