While I respect your opinion and know ol' D.W. isn't everyones cup of tea.I like the guy and wouldn't mind him doing the last ten.Only person I would rather have up there would be Kyle Petty, but DW would be fine with me.Again I know he can grate on some peoples nerves, but I do enjoy his announcing.

I hope Darrel Waltrip will be in the booth! What the heck is your problem anyways? DW is a great driver and announcer, let the man have some fun if he wants to say Boogity Boogity Boogity let him! Just mute your TV and listen to MRN broadcast on the the radio!

Well.I don't particular care for Darrel as an announcer either, but the guy was one heck of a driver in his day.My all time favorite driver was Rusty Wallace before he retired. He never kissed up to the media either.I think all the announcing should be done by drivers. They know what they are talking about . By the way,Darrel's brother Mike does race.

I like ol' DW.

Sometimes he get annoying, but for the most part, he's okay.
Better to have him than that mouth Jimmy Spencer, now that's a man that totally gets on my last nerve.

I like Allen Bestwick too, and I have no idea why they have commentators calling the race that's not really part of the original Nascar community.

Another thing I don't really care for is the "in car" commentating. It's all fine and dandy when they are stopped for a red flag, but don't break their concentration, it's like they are trying to communicate with the crew and have racing on the mind, then they're expected to talk to the guys in the booth. Sometimes it's fine to talk to them but other times.....silence is golden.

I didn't hear, but I sure hope it's true because I have a really tough time watching the rest of the season after Fox gives it up. I love DW, and Mikey for that matter, he knows what he's talking about and he shows minimal favoritism. Unlike some other announcers that are clearly Junior, Tony, or Johnson fans. That crap sucks.

I love DW to death, but honestly I could really care less about hearing him on the broadcast. Truthfully I've gone to watching the race, but turning the sound down and listening to the Sirius broadcast. I listen to the driver channels.
Like I said, I love DW, but sometimes I don't need to hear him go on for 20 minutes about a driver that he doesn't care for at that moment.

Darrell wouldn't do any worse than Brad Daugherty. What the heck is a basketball player announcing NASCAR??? And Rusty Wallace is about annoying as fingernails on the chalkboard. If I hear "Cat" one more time, I swear...

I think Darrel is a great guy, but I hate listening to him and Jeff Hammond. They are both like a couple of stupid kids. I love it when they are not on the air for a race.

Boogity,Boogity,Boogiy !!!!
Let's watch the race with DW !!!!

I don't think he's and idiot or a jerk. He knows racing, he does a very good job as a comentator and if Michael wanted/needed his help, he'd ask for it and DW would be right there.

Sorry you find him so offensive. Maybe you could listen to the announcers on the radio while you watch the race on TV.

Drive for 5

Is this true? I love the boogity boogity boogity. I will say I thought a lot of Fox's coverage was useless stupidity but I do think they've done the best out of anyone this year, with the exception of that race on TNT (don't remember which one it was) that never went to commercial break. That was great.
