I just saw someone claim this. I didn't know people like that still exist. Anyone else out there?

i don't know what the percentages are, but straight people get AIDS too; I wouldn't blame God for this, but mankind themselves; it is an illness just as any other and often (although not always) caused by the person themselves, just as smokers often get cancer or alcoholics often get liver problems; it's not God's fault, it goes to personal responsibility.

Since there are just as many heterosexuals with AIDS as homosexuals this claim seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

It is not Gods punishment in my opinion but aids is a real good reason to not have many sexual partners.

Well considering it is also prevalent amongst the heterosexuals as well, I doubt it is a punishment from God onto homosexuals.

The complete failure of the WHO and CDC in not containing HIV when is was first discovered--thanks to an idiot in the White House--lead to some harsh lessons. Today governments move quickly to contain outbreaks. It's the reason you don't know anyone who has died from Avian Flu, SARS, Ebolia, etc. Had they done that 30 years ago instead of worshiping a hate god, HIV would be a footnote in history.

I really don't know, but in the old testament judgment was swift.There is the law of sowing and reaping, but only God knows if its a punishment or not.

That's a crock. You could just as well say that god made aids to punish black people since it started in Africa.

While God's Word says that "the wages of sin is death," I don't think God directly chose AIDS for those folks, but their actions definitely put them at risk.
HIV/AIDS is a behaviorally caused illness which can be avoided (except in rare cases where a spouse is infected by their cheating partner or a child is born infected).

I laugh when I hear this.
Then I ask what is the amputees do to deserve their punishment? Cervical Cancer patients? Breast Cancer? Prostate? What about leapers? The list goes on and on and on..... and yet I get no real answer from the person. I wonder why?? hmmmm......

There are consequences for all choices made. I wouldn't say it is just for homosexuals, but definitely a punishment for promiscuity. Just as Cervical cancer is..HPV is an STD.
