yes, i belive they do. Sometimes mother favors one & father favors another, either way i believe at some point a parent does have favorites. Although it shouldnt be extreme because after all the other siblings do notice. My mom used to always say, " i have 5 children and 5 fingers as each one is different and i expect different things from each child" . I think its important to know the potential of each child & treat them accordingly.

Parents shouldn't have a favorite child, but human nature being what it is, some parents do. Some children are just so easy to love and others are difficult.

My mother certainly did and still does!
I have found this to be interesting too, because I love both my boys, it just turns out that one needs more attention than the other. But I know I just like either ones company, not one over the other, and prefer to have them both around, individually or together. We must have done something right, because we enjoy each of them.

I think parents try to avoid that but deep inside they do have a little favoritism.

Simple answer: some do, and some do not. Depends on the parents, and it depends a little on the kids. Hard not to have a favorite if your kids are "Bart" and "Lisa."

Yes. My husband is one of 3 and it's easy to see that his mom favors the older child.

Most of the time no. In one way or another we all get on their nerves.
