It's not so much the Airports, Supervisors responsibilities vary between companies and departments. A number of different companies work at Airports, including all the staff from all the different Airlines. Each comapny will have it's own managers and supervisors. In the case of an Airline, this will include a "Check-In Supervisor", a "Desk Supervisor" (Information Desk) and a "Customer Service Supervisor". Then there's the operational staff. You will have "Baggage Handling Supervisor", the Cabin Crew have a Supervisor, the cleaning contractors have Supervisors and the Engineers have Supervisors as well as the refuellers etc. etc. etc.

It doesn't really vary per airport so much as per department. What department are you talking about? There is food service, custodial, equipment maintenance, etc. all employed by the airport which would be a government job. If you are talking about working for the airlines' themselves, you have sky caps who check luggage at curbside, ticket agents, gate agents, loadmasters, etc.
