There are possibly more "practising" Muslims than Christians in the UK or possibly most of Western Europe

I don't even know anyone that attends a church.

It isn't the fastest growing religion in the world and there aren't more practising Muslims in the UK/Western Europe than Christians.

But even if it were true, it wouldn't bother me.

Only an idiot would argue that Islam is the fastest growing religion. Smaller religions generally grow faster, that is just basic mathematics, it is nothing to do with their polpularity or their message.

Jesus didn't ask anyone to attend church. God is supposed to be omnipresent not skulking away in some building.

If there is god, and if there were any true prophets, I have no particular desire to hear their message from some dodgy character in a fancy dress. No matter what religious sect they claim that they are representing.

I agree with the guy above, im athiest but if i had to relate to a religion it would be christianity since it is the principles of christianity that have built our society.

The reason that everyone thinks islam is the fastest growing is because of the mass influx of muslim immigrants in Europe and also the media attention they attract due to shameful acts of terrorism. Muslims also have a much higher birth rate (see the ONS website for official statistics) but are also the most uneducated religion - thus their growth will bottom out in a few years when everyone admits they are a drain on society with little benefit.

Not overly important to be honest, since if Islam is spreading across the world, I'm happy for Islam and people who think teh Islamic way of life suits them best.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. People can be muslim, christian, hindu, jew, bhuddist or scientologist, I don't give a damn.

wow distinctive the solutions indexed right here are making up excuses for the becoming numbers. if the middle eastern countries strict rules have been in charge for the becoming style of muslims, islam might in simple terms be in that area of the international and does not be becoming interior the rest. delivery-fees is likewise a stupid excuse. laci is so beneficial :)

There's been a hell of an influx of immigrants here to the UK the last 5-10 years.

Didn't realise that Muslims only thought of religion as a some kind of wacko competition.

Just because several billion people do something in a particular way, doesn't make it right.

If you understood what God was, you wouldn't attend your temples either - God doesn't want our worship, that isn't what we were created for...

Because it is making more and more sense in a world full of war, discrimination, hatred, racism, no security or self confidence or self assurance.

It is able to guide people to something good - to provide guidance (quran) on how to live life through good and bad, it tells muslims to give charity to those less fortunate than yoruself - even if you are poor - a simple smile is an act of charity. Islam tells people to fast so that we can appreciate the food and drink we have and to understand what it is life for people who are starving - it also controls our eating habits and makes us do everything in moderation - so that problems like obesity, diabetes, heart attacks are more controlled. It tells people to be kind to each toher, to not be arrogant - for what goes around in this world comes around. It teaches people that life is merely a test - so try and do the best you can to live through each situation - to appreciate what you have and to pray for peace, happiness. It gives people hope and lastly it teaches that noone - NOONE in this world is able to be with you 24hrs a day - to know the pain in your heart, to know the troubles in your life more than God - for there is only 1 God and nothing in this life is done without Him - if bad then he is teaching someone a lesson -

Use your brain - read the holy books - the bible, the Quran, the Torah - then make up your mind - don't just dismiss something without doing any research -

There is some dispute on that from what I've read. I know dozens that attend church and bible studies.

How come only Muslims say this?

Even if it were, they are still (far) outnumbered in the West by people who are culturally non-Muslim. I am atheist, but I still identify with my Christian culture. Especially relative to Muslim culture.
