MK The Restaurant, Morton's on Franklin Street or Rosebud's on W. Taylor are all very good. Morton's, a Steak House on a Par with the Chicago ChopHouse is a bit noisy.

Many years ago I went to The Berghoff (sp?). German foods and ales. It was great. And I think I remember it's supposed to be the oldest restaurant in Chicago.

There are some great places to eat in Chicago:
For steak, nothing beats Smith & Wollensky's--it has tables with a beautiful view of the river.
For Brazilian, Fogo de Chao is awesome!!!
Want awesome tapas? Go to Cafe Ba-Ba-Rebas--they also have entertainment.
Chicago is known for their deep dish pizza and Giordano's pizza places are everywhere there.
My favorite place for italian in the city is Volare-magnifico!!!
If you go to http://chicago.citysearch.com/ they can help you locate rest. near where you will be--it is an awesome tool.
