She'll be fine. It takes a lot more chocolate than in 1 cookie to harm a pooch.

I'm sure she will be fine. She may get an upset tummy and a bit of diarrhea. There's not enough chocolate in a cookie to make her seriously ill.
However, if you seriously thought your dog might die, you should call the vet immediately rather than post a question here. None of us are vets (if we were, how would you know) and we cannot see your dog, nor can we accurately tell you if the dog is ok or not.
When it doubt, always consult a vet first.

I'd contact the vet. The extent of chocolate toxicity is dependent on the dose and the size of the dog. A chocolate chip cookie is a small dose but she isn't a big dog. My sense is she may get sick but will be fine - but better safe than sorry.

Your dog will be fine. A 50 pound dog would have to consume 9 ounces of chocolate to become toxic. It is not so much the chocolate that harms your dog, it is the theobromine in the chocolate that will make him sick, as well as the caffeine. Bakers chocolate (unsweetened chocolate) is 8-10 times time more toxic, so definately keep that out of reach of your dogs, and cats, as cats are also subject to this toxicity.

No, shouldn't affect your dog at all. Takes quite a bit of chocolate actually and it's dark chocolate that is the worst. I wouldn't worry about it at all and just keep the cookies out of reach next time!
Good luck

No. Although they suggest that chocolate is not good for a dog, 1 cookie will not do her any harm!! Dogs eat all kinds of things, and they have tough stomachs!! I am sure that she will be just fine!!

Everyone is right. Don't sweat it. Note that higher grade chocolate is less likely to harm your dog. So if you plan on leaving cookies out within your dog's reach, make sure they are make with good quality chocolate ;-)

chances are your dog will be fine. There is not enough choc. in a choc. chip cookie to kill him. If he starts acting latargic and sick take him to the vet. Next time keep choc. and other food your dog should not eat out of reach. (i.e. in the cabinet)

Well, hard to say. Some dogs handle it fine, some don't. He only had a little bit, which is good, although he is a small dog. It's most likely he'll live.
