There's this girl that i kinda like, and I can talk to her in person easily and on AIM i have no problem talking to her. However, the phone is another story. I have only called her twice in the three months that I've known her and each time the call did not last more than 5 minutes. I get nervous and cant think of anything to say, and I think she feels akward too, because she doesnt say much or ask as many question as I do. I'm a shy and quiet guy so this is kinda difficult for me. Shes kinda shy too. So I would like to get to know her better on the phone. Any suggestions on how I can become more comfortable in doing this and how I can make the conversation longer?

The only way to get more comfortable with it is to just keep doing it. A lot of people get nervous on the phone. Me and my boyfriend have been together 2 years and our phone conversations rarely last more than 10 minutes. It's not a huge deal.

Maybe you could just try to apply whatever it is that makes it easy for you to talk in person and on AIM to telephonic conversations as well. Good luck.

hi
just talk about the stuff that you talk on AIM or in person about, it's the same thing, talk about how her day went and how she is and just be natural with her, good luck and I hope I helped...just call her and start talking to her♥

heres what i would do,
with a friend you really trust. practice what you might say to this girl, (if your friend won't make fun of you or laugh) and you can get more comfortable. you could also ask the girl about what she likes and questions about her.
