I mean, if a woman claims to be a Christian then she's not a true feminist?

And if she claims to be a feminist then she's not a true Christian?

A feminist believes in the equality of women to men, the bible states that the "Head of Christ is God, in turn the head of the man is Christ, in turn the head of the Woman is Man"

I don't see how these two philosophies are compatible.

It would be hard to be a feminist and accept the role of subserviant "help meat" to men. In the Old Testament, women are basically treated like spoils of war. In the New Testament, Paul has many instructions on how to keep women silent and obedient to men. If you actually believe in the equality of the sexes, you have to do a lot of apologizing for the Bible. You also have to find a liberal branch of Christianity.

As Christians, we are "transformed by the renewing of our minds."

Our outlook, our "philosophy"(if I may use that word) is guided shaped re-made according to the words of God.
Anything which contradicts the word of God should be discarded.
I am sure that some parts of feminism are okay, and some parts are not. It would fall to YOU to determine what to do, what to follow.
So it is with ANY other world philosophy.
Christianity, by the way, contrary to so much popular belief based on misinformation, puts a high value and view on women. Christianity was and is, a great equalizer.

No, I don't. The Bible that many Christians follow is biased toward women. It is ignorance on their part to assume that woman is inferior to man. Man wouldn't be here if it weren't for women.

Jesus said in the book called The Life of Saint Issa:
Chapter 12: 10-21

Listen, then, to what I say unto you: Respect woman, for she is the mother of the universe, and all the truth of divine creation lies in her.

She is the basis of all that is good and beautiful, as she is also the germ of life and death. On her depends the whole existence of man, for she is his natural and moral support...

Even as the God of armies separated of old the light from the darkness and the land from the waters, woman possesses the divine faculty of separating in a man good intentions from evil thoughts...

Uh, no I don't agree. Because I myself am a Christian, and I am a feminist. You can say I'm not a "true" Christian or feminist if you want, but that's just kind of silly for you to judge.

No I do not agree. Jesus said that in heaven there is no subordination expected (they are not given or taken in marriage) so gender problems are not an issue as they are here on earth. That would indicate that God accepts them equally as his children. Equality for all genders, races in heaven seems to indicate there needs to be more of that here on earth-On earth as it is in heaven.

depends on the definition of feminist.

if you let McKinnon and Dworkin define it, then yes, you cannot be a feminist and a christian.

thats not really an argument but... i think feminists are hateful, so not christians. but the definition of feminist i think is one who fights for womens rights, though none of them stick just to that.

Yes it's true. Same as being a lawyer- you cannot get to heaven except in rare cases.

Yes, it is true.

Women were created as a help-meet for a man. The world's twisting of this truth, well, you see the result.
