She will be 2 on september and I have no clue what to do. I dont want to take her to chucky cheese, around here the teenagers have taken over it. We have a big park down the road but they charge $100.00 an hour to rent a picnic area. WHAT DO I DO????

I opted out of the whole big birthday party thing until my children were old enough to be involved in the process. Do you remember your 2 year old birthday party? It's hard to stay in sync with the neighborhood or your circle of friends but my friends really started to appreciate knowing they didnt have to buy sometimes unwanted and definately unnecessary toys and things for 2 year olds that don't really care. Little kids like a little bit of cake, a LOT of frosting, lots of balloons and some big empty boxes...that would be a great birthday party for a 2 year old! You can always try to do a themed party but you are getting into a lot of expense there. I personally enjoyed sharing those special days the first few years with just family

Well, with the fact that she is 2, this party is more for your benefit, than the child's. She won't even remember this birthday. Do you really wanna spend that much money? I am not saying its bad, as everyone is different, and if it is important to you, then, by all means, go for it. I am just sayin' baby girl will love ya no matter if its a big birthday bash, or a small picnic at the park.

Have a small gathering - go on a picnic with friends/ toddlers the same age and call it a pot luck - everybody brings things to share- stress free - plan one near a play area. Surely there's somewhere that doesn't charge for picnic areas near!! If you have a garden have a similar affair - kids that age just want to toddle about - play in a sand pit/ water play etc.

My son just had his 2nd birthday and we had a small picnic at a local National Park with some of our family.

Other things that we had considered was just taking him out for a special day of his own. Taking him to the zoo for the day, a special trip to a kiddie themed amusement park or even a special trip to the beach/ river/ lake.

My daughter will also be 2 in September. We are having her party at our house. We have had all birthday parties at our house, I also have a 4 year old son. We usually do stuff in our backyard and in the house. Have a few games and activties for the kids. Have easy finger food, like sandwiches or hamburgers/hotdogs and then of course cake and ice cream.

At this age they are easily overwhelmed, overstimulated. So family and a FEW friends over for cake, icecream, and presents should be good enough. In your backyard works. We held one in our church fellowship hall. no charge. He was turning 2 as well and had more fun with the wrapping paper than anything else !! DOn't stress yourself about it-- he likely won't remember a thing. Save your strength for when he gets older and demands cool parties! Good luck!

My daughter turned 2 in April. We had a roller skating party at our local rink. She had a blast. We were worried that she wouldn't be able to skate, but she did awesome. The other kids and family loved it, too.

Just throw her a backyard party with family and close friends she is only 2 so you really don't want to overwhelm her. You could do any theme you like(Teaparty,Dora,Princess, ect.) and even play a few games

Stay home and hire a bouncy castle and the kids should be really happy and amused.
