Standardized tests show that I am smarter then my boyfriend. He doesn't care a bit.
By the way, just because you score higher then most people on a standardized test doesn't mean you are really smarter then everyone. It just means you are really good at taking tests.
p.s. to some of the people on here, Cleverer is a word. Look it up.

I do, and I think it's pretty accepted that women are smarter than men.
There are still some that would get upset about a women that's smarter, but then they'd get upset if their girl could do anything better.
That's a deficiency on their part and not any womans.
Please don't dumb yourself down for guys. That's the most annoying trait I've ever encountered while dating.
Guys like girls, if you're out there doing things you'll attract guys, being smart isn't a turn off, if you don't have an attitude about it.

Most guys don't like it. You could dumb down, but I've tried that in the past, and the thing is that how intelligent you are is part of what makes you you, and you can't really be in a relationship without letting the guy see who you really are. Sooner or later they find out how intelligent you are - maybe someone else asks you a question and you're caught unawares and reply with an unexpected intelligent answer - and then it freaks them out. My philosophy now is just to be yourself from the beginning, then you don't get stuck with the insecure guys who don't like intelligent girls.

yes they do.
if you go out with another clever guy then you two can have cute little riddles to solve or have contests to see who is cleverer and stuff. its not a problem so don't worry. if he's also clever and curious you might teach him a few new things or the other way around. it shouldnt matter if you both like each other.

First of all, getting high grades on the SATs does not define clever; it could mean that you are academically smart or book smart.

Probably won't make a difference, but you know what guys can be like. Nobody is perfect. It's a guy's mentality to want to be right as much as possible. If you date someone who you're obviously smarter than, it may be best to maintain this level of intelligence but never patronise your guy or make his ideas, thoughts or opinions seem valued or intelliglbe (even if they are not), that can avoid problems :)

I like girls who are more clever than me. The question is, do you like guys that aren't as clever as you?

They might, but most guys feel threatened by girls that are cleverer than they are because they think that they're 'losing', in a way.

with some of us guys, it doesnt matter, just so long as we love the girls, but on the other hand, there are some guys that dont really like that fact, they like to be the smart one in the relationship. those are the ones who just dont want you to "outshine" them because then they think that other people will think that the guy is dumb or something, which isnt true, but with most guys it doesnt matter
