The only vets i know that do this are associated with animal hospitals such as the RSPCA, the Blue Cross and the PDSA. I don't think they will treat your pet for free but their costs are considerably lower than a private vets. When you take your cat along to one of these organisations, tell them that you have given this stray a home and they might waive the initial treatment fee, which at the RSPCA is about £10.00. Well done for giving the cat a good home, thats very decent of you. I'm sure it will bring you lots of love and affection.

You don't mention your location, but if you are in the UK, the following organisations can help out with vet bills;
RSPCA
Blue Cross
Cat Protection League
If you are in the London area, the Celia Hammond Trust has vet clinics in Lewisham and Canning Town.
The link below, has a map that you can click to find welfare centres in your area.

Thanks for offering a stray cat the chance to know what it is to have a loving home - he will be eternally grateful to you.

There are many agencies that will spay feral cats so they will not have more kittens. Start with the local ASPCA, and see what they recommend. There may be a small fee, but you have basically taken these cats in already. As far as getting rid of the kittens, take them in, letting them be with their mother to nurse only. But get them trained to be indoor cats. Then, put them on a site like Craigslist as free to a good home. You just may find a home for most, if not all of them. That way they can be cared for, and you can sleep soundly knowing you didn't have them killed.

You can ask your vets about a payment plan or you can contact one of the many cat charities that will help you if you're on a low income, such as the Blue Cross, the PDSA, the Cats Protection League and ask your vet about other locak charities as every area has some.
Hope this helps.

I also found a stray kitten who was in very bad condition and had many problems and we rang the RSPCA to see if they could take her but we decied we wanted to keep her and then the RSPCA payed for the vets fees scince we'd kept her! Now she has no problems at all, and she is a very healthy cat! Good luck.

Good on you,
Try the Cats Protection League or Caring for Cats, both excellent Cat Charities.
If you are on a means tested benefit you can call the P.D.S A. ( Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals) They just ask for a donation about £10.00 I believe.

All depends on where in the world you are. Here in UK its not so bad finding help, If you are on a low wage in our area Cats Protection League are a great help, not saying they will buy all pcats food but when you need em for other stuff they will help out. Then there is the RSPCA, PDSA and local vets.
But if you are not in the UK, this answer is useless.

The RSPCA or the Blue Cross should be able to help you with this, local animal shelters or Humane Societies may also be willing, but the Blue Cross are a sure thing, and I guess the RSPCA are too.

Hi there,
If you are recieving certain benefits, you may be able to get help from the PDSA ( http://pdsa.org.uk )
Alternatively, I would visit your locat Cats Protection League / RSPCA shelter ( http://www.catchat.org/adoption ) who may be able to provide vouchers and discounted or free vetinary care for your new cat.
Just make sure that you can afford to keep the stray cat before you make a decision - you'll need pet insurance too :-)
