Only because since we have become service economy and not a industrial economy. We used to need skilled labor to produce goods and services, but as that type of industry went over seas, we have become a consumer nation, so cheap labor is in ready supply from the illegals and the businesses lobby is eager to sell out the American people for the bottom line. Then our elected leaders in turn sell out to the business lobby for their campaign funds. As result we the tax payers have to pay the cost of cheap labor for the illegals

No. If there was a surplus of cheap labor, unemployment would be much, much higher.

No illegals are the direct result of political refugees. They want to escape corruption in Mexico and this situation will only get worse as we go along. Cheap labor is only a perk for the US.
