the person will die or be Raptured before he or she can fulfill the call?

I know that the Rapture will happen for the Church all at once, but no one knows when. We don't know when we will die, either. That's what I meant; not that the Rapture would take place at different times for different people.

There are many ways to minister.
My best friend died and before she died,
her last words were awesome and
my mother ministered to someone
years later with the precious words
she said! We can't put God in a "box"!
Take care!

That's one of those questions that doesn't quite make sense. If God calls someone into a ministry then He plans for them to accomplish something in that ministry, even if their death is a part of it. As to them getting raptured, Jesus said that the rapture would occur on the last day after the great tribulation.

Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

John 6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the lLAST trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

God chooses leaders so they will complete their call. God will let every chosen leader fulfill what they're ment to do. No one will die untill their plan given to them by God is completed. Look at Moses. Do you think a person would live to be 120 years old in those days if there wasn't a purpose. Moses died shortly after fulfilling his task of leading the Isrealites to the Promised Land. Another example would be Jesus. His task was to actually die on the Cross. A person will not die untill his task in life is fulfilled.

You're wondering what the point of going to bible college now is, if you're just going to go off and get raptured?

Here's news honey, there is no rapture, people have been claiming that jesus is going to return for the past 2000 years. He hasn't nor will he come back. He's dead as Jack Palance, and just as likely to come and rule the planet for 1000 years with an iron scepter.

Yes- God knows how long they have before they are chosen- however with the Rapture idea...?? No one is going before another-- The Bible says when Christ comes he is taking All his children home-- Not the those that are left behind....

God doesn't call people into ministry, God calls people to know Him. The ministry is just the means to get to know Him, so yes.

I don't think we are puppets on strings. I think if someone feels called to the ministry it's their own desire to serve God, not God manipulating them.

Yes, He could. God can lead you in a direction because He wants you to walk that path, not necessarily because He wants you to reach the perceived destination.
