Don't worry about those who make fun of God. Paul from the bible killed christians because he did not understand. Untill God opened his eyes then Paul could see. Just pray for them that God will open there eyes and heart to know God.

Fool, there is no respect of persons with God.
There is only respect of persons against God.
Pure wisdom from above has no partiality at all.
Even the Herodians knew that about God & Son.
What's biblically child-ish is believe-ing the lies (laws).
When I became a man, I put away childish things(laws).
If you "believe", you do about as well as devils: James 2:19.
The biblical objective isn't to believe, but "know": John 8:32.
Know-ing the truth makes you "free" of believe-ing the lies.
So "believe not" is mentioned in Mt 24:23,26 & 1John 4:1.
Perhaps you missed the TAKE HEED 101 Class.
It had a purpose: to prevent you from getting deceived,
by many shall come...to DECEIVE... shall deceive many.
Escape? It's by "give more earnest heed" to what's said;
Especially to what's been God said: let there be light(only).
The only other option is "no escape" in 1Thessalonians 5:3.
It's notably what happens to "them", of them/us in 1Th 5:3/9.
If I were a "them"(Mr & Mrs Adam: Gen 5), I'd convert asap.
Search the scriptures! In "them" no eternal life, rather death.
There's no them at all in the Lord is longsuffering "us-ward".
I hope some day you'll join "us", so the world may be "one".
May your law law become grace before your @ss is grass.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

People make fun of everything and everyone - its just part of life. Jewish jokes, Islamic jokes, hell I own a t-shirt with Buddha on it saying "Rub my tummy for good luck". Humor is a good thing and everyone needs to loosen up and be able to laugh at themselves even if it goes too far and is heartful. If you believe in God and the message of Jesus then that should be enough that you do not have to act as a protecter of the reputation of his message by shunning those would think differently.

Don't worry about being made fun of. Jesus was the song of the drunkards (Psalm 69:12). Remember what Jesus said: "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you".(John 15:18). “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master." (Matthew 10:24). It is normal to be made fun of, to be the butt of jokes, to be sneered at and jeered at. We have not yet suffered unto blood, like the Apostle Paul warned us. Some Christians are being tortured most horrifically. But in all this remember that the Lord has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. So be of good cheer for He has overcome the world (John 16:33)

YOU are not the prime representative of christianity.
As it happens, the most prominent representatives of any given religion are those with the loudest voices.... and in the case of christianity, that would be the proselytisers.... a truly vile practice.
Besides.... you know what they say about the hair that broke the camel's back....
It is one thing to have a whole load of ridiculous beliefs about men walking on water and rising from the dead to save everyone from burning forever.......... but it is another entirely to have a set of beliefs that effectively demands that you try your utmost to oppress other people with said beliefs.
When that sort of thing gets in the way of everyone else, how can you be surprised when the retaliation goes all-out?

I agree with you 100% but I think the one thing you have to remember is that some people don't know when to log off and take a break from the forum and they end up losing their temper. I've seen people of every creed say stuff on here that is childish and disrespectful. The trick is to not take it personally.

I respect your belief in God, but find it too difficult to respect a God that is revered for killing little babies (Passover) and abusing and killing his own son (Jesus story).
I think the whole God trip is pathological on a grand scale. If you want to help people, help them. If you want to be kind, do so. But getting the God thing in there just complicates things and makes no rational sense.
Your logic is quite faulty. Mayans believed that sacrificing virgins was important--do you 'respect' that? Hitler's Germany believed that God told them to kill all Poles, gays, handicapped and Jews in Europe, so that they could have more space. Do you 'respect' that?
Religion is bad for people, in my opinion. Mostly it involves hating somebody and/or destroying something to make its adherents feel powerful, superior. Fugheddaboutit.

The devil uses the world and people from the world to destroy Christians. Don't be discouraged though, there will be a day when all those who made fun of Christians will be wishing they could take it all back.

insighthere - "Christians do not respect anyone but other Christians, and that is not always certain either."
Incorrect. I respect plenty of non-Christians. Not much insight here by making such a general statement. :(

Mass media is controlled by Jews. Jews are historically anti- Christian and take pride in making a mockery of Christianity. Christianity is made fun of on the idiot box and the apes watching the idiot box think it's cool. We should all make fun of Judaism and laugh when the Jewish spin doctors start screeching "anti-semetic!!!, anti-semetic!!!".
