I avoid those so called cheap flight websites as they always end up expensive. They throw some really attractive fares at you but when you try to get those fares, you can't. You can try booking with British Airways as they are competitive and when you book, you are given the different fare options. You can physically see if it will be cheaper flying the day before, the day after etc. as it has a calander with the fares associated to the dates. Alternatively, I use the Student Travel Centre in Rupert Street. It's only a two minute walk from Piccadilly Circus Station. They always get the best fare available to anywhere in the world. They have been established for well over 20 years and are ABTA registered. To add to that STC are always helpful and will give travel advice. where needed and if you have any problems with your flight etc. they will always help to sort the problem out. I have tried many bucket shops, over the years and none have been as cheap or have provided a service as good as STC. You can get their phone numbers from the site www.student-travel-centre.com and book over the phone. Finally, as a word of caution, don't go to that company that claims they guarantee to beat any other company on price. I tried them once and had to phone them. The response I got was, "we can't beat that, you'd better book with " ". In other words, most customers are booking with them, believing they are getting a good price when they are getting a high price. Most will make the booking on that assumption alone. As the saying goes, " Buyer Beware!"
